Homework

Year 4 Homework Saturday 21st, Monday 23rd and Wednesday 25th November

Please note, during next week’s lesson, your child will be sitting short ‘mini mock’ tests. These allow your child to practise working under exam conditions and within time constraints. Your child does not need to worry about these, they will be carried out in their usual class slot. The tests will allow you to see your child’s areas of strength and areas for development and gain an understanding of their current level of ability.

Here are your child’s homework tasks this week:

  1. Maths – Multiplication. Optional challenge questions are also included if your child would like a further challenge.

  1. English – The Wright Brothers – multiple choice comprehension. This can be completed on the sheet.

  1. Verbal Reasoning – Verbal Reasoning Paper 6

  1. Spelling – Learn the spellings and meanings of the words below. These will be tested during the next lesson.
  • league
  • guess
  • guide
  • guardian
  • disguise
  • guilty
  • colleague
  • fatigue

  • guarantee

Parents, please mark the maths, English and VR. Thank you.

Often mistakes can be easily corrected by your child but if this is not the case, please ask your child to draw it to the teacher’s attention in their next lesson.

Please scan your child’s English homework and send it to the following email address so that it can be marked by a teacher and feedback given.

When sending homework in for marking please send it as an attachment to your email, do not embed it within the body of the email. Please do consider the quality of the image so that when we print it here it remains a clear and legible copy of the homework. Thank you.
